Good news for folks who enjoy hands-free penis vibrators! And even better news for men with spinal cord injuries and erectile difficulties!
The UK-based sex toy company Hot Octopuss revamped its Pulse Solo range last month. Now not only are the “Guybrators” cheaper and lighter than before, but they are also more powerful.
No erections required
Hot Octopuss Pulse Solo penis vibrator can be used while flaccid or erect.
Originally released in 2013, the Pulse Solo line comes equipped with “PulsePlate Technology” that provides strong oscillations near the top of the penis at the frenulum.
Hot Octopuss created this trademarked technology after consulting medical studies that showed the exact amplitude and frequency of vibrations needed for men with spinal cord injuries to reach orgasm. It is based on study findings on penile vibratory stimulation.
The vibrators can be used on both flaccid and erect penises. As a result, the company says the PulsePlate Technology also benefits people who have trouble achieving or maintaining an erection.

The new generation of Hot Octopuss Pulse
The newly released penis vibrators, Pulse Solo Lux and Pulse Solo Essential, are upgraded versions of the Pulse III Solo.
The Pulse Solo Lux is now Hot Octopuss’s top-of-the-line Guybrator and comes with Lux, a wearable remote control that wraps around your wrist like a watch.
Pressing the “Turbo” button on either the device or remote will bring it to a power level of 4,450rpm. Costing US$149, it is US$20 cheaper than its predecessor.
On the other hand, folks on a tighter budget may want to consider the new Hot Octopuss Pulse Solo Essential. It sells for US$99. It does not have a wrist remote or magnetic charging like the Pulse Solo Lux, and reaches just 3,950 rpm.
As the name implies, the Hot Octopuss Pulse Solo range is designed for solo masturbation, unlike the Pulse Duo sex toy designed for heterosexual couples to use during intercourse.
Hot Octopuss stands out in the sex tech industry for its focus on creating accessible sex toys. While it states that these sex toys are not medical devices, they provide the opportunity for people to explore their sexuality after spinal cord injury in a way that has only recently become possible.
