No matter what you are looking for online, chances are you can find it. When it comes to female-friendly porn, those who market it seek women and femme-identifying folks tired of tube sites and pirated content.
In this article, I’ll give context to what is female-friendly porn, who is creating it, and where you can find the best free and paid porn for women.
What is female friendly porn?
“Female-friendly porn” refers to pornography created with the goal of appealing to women. The target audience is women interested in pornography but who may feel excluded or uncomfortable with the adult industry’s traditional male-focused approach.
Since sexual tastes and views on ethics and feminism are subjective, however, the term “female-friendly porn” and its associated marketing can be misleading. Not only does it suggests there is a universal standard for what women find sexually appealing or ethical. It may also deter or exclude others seeking non-traditional forms of pornography.
In the next section, I share several companies I think would be considered the so-called best female-friendly porn sites for people searching for content under this phrase. Further down I will share a non-traditional BDSM recommendation I’m comfortable giving. On the more traditional end of porn for women, I will also share data on the most searched categories made by women on PornHub.
Best female-friendly porn sites
By branding themselves as “female-friendly porn,” these companies seek to differentiate themselves from traditional pornographic content.
The adult entertainment companies below aim to fill a gap in the adult entertainment industry by creating content that is more inclusive and focused on promoting sexual pleasure and empowerment for women.
Erika Lust
Erika Lust is a filmmaker who creates “ethical porn” that focuses on female pleasure and empowerment. Her films are known for their high production value and feminist approach to storytelling.
One of her projects is XConfessions, an online erotica series with videos based on real-life confessions submitted by viewers. For example, one of the latest is called “Dirty Martini Sex Party.”
“I loved shooting this XConfessions movie with the best cast I could hope for. This time, I had someone very special on set who came up with this idea of a sex party in the seventies. Seeing it come to life before her eyes on set with me was incredible.”
Erika Lust
Another notable XConfessions scene, in my opinion, is called “Soulsex.” The senior sex documentary uncovers the intimate relationship between two older lovers and sex educators Dr. Anne Campbell and John Campbell.
I’ve been a paying subscriber,, so it’s at the top of my list. A free film featuring Owen Gray and the intensity in his eyes got me hooked and I thoroughly enjoy the artistry and hotness level of each film.

CHEEX co-founder Denise Kratzenberg’s motivation for creating the female-friendly porn site was two-fold: She wanted to depict “sex in an authentic, consensual, fun, and lustful way” that not only educates but also “works towards sexual liberation.”
The online porn platform provides erotic audio content and sex tutorials in addition to filmed erotica. To deliver steamy content, they’ve teamed up with producers Erika Lust, Joybear, Sinn Sage, New Sensations and Sinfulxxx as well as famous performers such as Eva Elfie, Chloe Amour, Jay Smooth, My Sweet Apple and Avery Black—just to name a few.
For too long, the mainstream porn industry has ignored women’s POV and roles, says the CHEEX team. That’s left many viewers frustrated with discriminatory and inauthentic portrayals of sexuality.
CHEEX prides itself on offering fair trade and ethical porn:
“This means concretely that we work exclusively with performers of legal age and insured under labor law, they are paid fairly and all actions are consensual. Particularly the consensuality is in focus, that no one does something that he / she does not want.”
Make Love Not Porn
If you don’t already know about Cindy Gallop, she’s a force to be reckoned with. After her 2009 TED Talk on younger men using hardcore pornography as sex education went viral, she set out to create Make Love Not Porn
Not into commitments? When you buy video credits through the sex toy site Hot Octopuss, you’ll have 365 days to use them. There you can snag exclusive 5, 10, or 30 MakeLoveNotPorn credit bundles.
The adult entertainment site MakeNotLovePorn showcases what Gallop calls real-world sex. In fact, she’s popularized the hashtag #RealWorldSex” and coined the term “lick job” to replace the much less sexy terms “cunnilingus” and “oral sex.”
Gallop says she wants the term “lick job” emblazoned in our sexual dictionaries as a reference for oral sex for vulvas, and just as commonly used as the term “blowjob.”
Make Love Not Porn makes female-friendly-porn in that it puts pleasure and authenticity first. The people having sex in the site’s content are real-life sexual partners, not adult performers.
Gallop likens the mainstream adult entertainment industry to producers of Hollywood films, and Make Love Not Porn to documentary films of actual, real-world sex.
Unable to advertise on Google, Gallop says most people find her site from organic searches by plugging in the terms “make love” or “not porn.” While they make up her company’s name, people are looking for something different than the pornography they’ve seen before.
According to Gallop, one person told her he found the site by searching “porn that is not porn.”
You can join MakeLoveNotPorn with a free account, which will give you access to some content. For full access, the ethical porn and social sex site provides subscriptions starting at $10/month for 5 videos.
Bloom Audio Desires
If you love erotic audio, then I highly recommend Bloom. The erotic audio and intimate storytelling platform shares steamy stories across various genres and even lets you choose the accent and gender of the speaker.
The erotic audio porn for women, couples, and singles of all genders really covers LGBTQ+ friendly, body positive, kink positive fantasies. You can get more immersive with ASMR options and there’s even support to connect Lovense sex toys to synch with the action in the erotic stories.
There’s even a relaxation section with meditations and audio stories to help you unwind for sleep.
The new Bloom Chat feature also lets you text and video chat with your favorite voice actors in real time, including Jace the Architect, Rob the Ranchand, and Mistress Mia.

Virtual Real Passion
If you are looking for virtual reality porn for women, then I recommend my favorite site: Virtual Real Passion. Many of its videos are dubbed “female POV” since they allow the viewer to embody to perspective of a woman during sexual activity.
The beautiful Luke Hot Rod is among one of its sexy male leads. There’s a decent selection of well-produced scenes featuring solo, straight, gay, and group sex.
PinkLabel TV
PinkLabel TV promotes itself as a queer indie porn site that I recommend for LGBTQ folks and queer women. The indie adult film streaming platform also hosts the annual SF Porn Film Festival, which doubles as an in-person and virtual adult film festival.
Sssh.com
Sssh.com is a female-friendly porn site created with women and couples in mind.
Sssh.com founder Angie Rowntree began in the online adult entertainment sector in the early ’90s. She is an inductee to the AVN Hall of Fame Founders Division and is one of the top female directors.
Yanks
The adult site Yanks features amateur videos of women masturbating solo, as they would enjoy doing so in their regular lives without the camera present. The amateur porn site’s content is all filmed by women and promises to show only real orgasms.
If you love couch humping, this site is also for you. Women masturbate as they would in real life, in a refreshing format that looks and feels like authentic.
For people looking for VR porn for women, the indie adult studio offers immersive female-friendly porn videos at Yanks VR.
Abby Winters
Abby Winters launched her erotic website of the same name in 2000 with a focus on more realistic and authentic representations of women’s sexuality. At the time it was an especially welcome alternative to the often staged and airbrushed photos found in the larger adult entertainment industry.
More than 20 years later, abbywinters.com remains a popular female-friendly porn site known for its emphasis on natural beauty and unscripted performances. The company also strictly controls how its media may or may not be shared, and does not allow slurs or degrading language toward women in the promotion of its content.

Bellesa
Bellesa is a website that features a mix of free and paid content, with a focus on promoting female pleasure and empowerment. They also have a blog section that provides information and education on sexual health and wellness.
Kink.com
As a woman, I’ve bought a paid subscription to Kink.com. I doubt you’ll ever see hardcore Kink.com marketing its site as “female-friendly porn,” but for me, it was friendly enough. Paying for its Kink allowed me to see behind-the-scenes content and get to know the performers and their BDSM checklists.
Free female friendly porn
To summarize, of the female-friendly porn sites mentioned above, XConfessions and Bellesa both provide free content. You can also join Make Love Not Porn for free and it offers some “free peeks” of videos before you can rent or buy.
Female PornHub visitor insights 2023
Not all women are seeking what is so-called female-friendly porn. The adult streaming site PornHub shares annual insights on its visitors, with specific breakdowns of its female audience in 2023.
Since Google Analytics started keeping track of demographic data in 2015, there’s been a consistent rise in the percentage of female visitors. Back in 2015, about 24 out of every 100 visitors were women. But by 2023, that number went up to 36 out of every 100. Over 8 years, PornHub has seen a 12% jump in the number of women visiting the site.
In 2023, the number of women viewers worldwide increased by 1%, reaching 36% in total.
In most countries, men made up the majority of PornHub viewers.
However, more than half the viewers in the Philippines were women at 58%. Colombia had an even split with 50% women and 50% men. Argentina also had many women viewers, at 47%.
Countries like Egypt and Germany had the fewest women viewers, with just 26% women and 74% men. In the Netherlands, women made up 28% of viewers, while in Canada, Sweden, the United States, the United Kingdom, Italy, and Spain, they accounted for 29%.
The top three most viewed categories by women on PornHub were lesbian, Japanese, and threesome—the same as in 2022. In comparison, men’s most viewed categories were Japanese, mature, and anal, with Ebony known out of the second top to fifth place.
