Cute Little Fuckers Zeep sex toy held up with silicone sides curving inward.

While I’d definitely describe my taste in sex toys as more whimsical than realistic, I never thought of owning one that is literally shaped like a bug.

That’s why when Cute Little Fuckers offered to send their latest vibe Zeep in exchange for an honest review, I was hesitant. However, another of their products, Cute Little Fuckers Starsi, was my favorite purchase in 2021, so I had to at least give it a shot.

Zeep loves to buzz by design

A distinguishing feature of every Cute Little Fuckers product is that they come with an origin story.

In this case, Cute Little Fuckers Zeep comes from a lush jungle world. Zeep’s a bit shy, though, so it hides in its leaf waiting to “playfully surprise you with the power of its vibrations” and loves “buzzing, buzzing, and buzzzzzzzing.”

The genderless toy comes with a USB rechargeable and interchangeable vibrator equipped with five speeds and five different vibration patterns.

What’s interesting is that Zeep and Starsi actually come with the same default vibrator, but the resulting sensations are completely different due to the toys’ respective shapes. Starsi offers broader, rumbly pleasure, while Zeep has much more vigor.

Product overview and measurements

Designed to fit easily into your hand, Zeep measures 10-cm long and 5 cm at its widest point. It’s made from 100% silicone and meant more for external stimulation.

Zeep comes in two shades of green. I have the lighter “Mint” color, which I love. It’s such a welcome change from the typical pinks and purples that many products opt for.

A sex toy for all genders

Cute Little Fuckers is known for being a gender-inclusive brand, and this value extends to their products. Each “little monster” comes with pronouns (Zeep uses “it/it’s”), as well as educational materials, like comics and an instructional video, on how to use the genderless sex toys.

For this review, I’m talking about Zeep from the perspective of a cisgender vulva-haver.

Variety of sensations and textures

Because of Zeep’s unconventional shape, I genuinely had no idea where to start when I first tried to use it. So I decided to go through the examples on the Cute Little Fuckers website and see if any of those would help make this genderless sex toy work for me.

Pinpoint stimulation from the tip of the leaf

The tip of Zeep’s leaf is molded from soft, ultra-thin silicone. On the website, it’s described as creating a “soft yet supportive pinpoint sensation, thin enough to reach enjoyably sensitive areas.”

At first, I thought this tip would potentially mimic a tongue, but it provides an entirely different sensation as it’s much thinner than a human tongue and the edges are more defined.

Something I tried that I enjoyed was taking Zeep into the bath, running it on the highest vibration setting, and holding it a couple of centimeters away from my clitoris. The way the silicone flickered created a targeted stream of water and gave me the option to move it closer if I craved direct contact.

Smooth, wide stimulation across the back

The back of Zeep’s leaf is entirely smooth and flat. It’s more structured than the tip, so it holds its shape even with more pressure applied.

This was my personal favorite sensation as I could put in on a lower, more rumbly vibration setting and tuck it between my legs for hands-free pleasure to my entire vulva. The sides of the leaf are also thin and bendable, which I noticed helped me more easily grip the toy.

Nestle between the antennae

Zeep’s antennae are just inside the tip of the leaf, creating a crevice for you to nestle something into. This option was less feasible to me because I have an ‘innie’ (meaning my outer labia protrudes further than my inner labia), so I don’t have much to put in there.

Rub against the textured tummy

On the front side, Zeep’s body is shaped like a cylinder and houses the vibrator. Along the tummy, there are divots carved out for added texture.

The sensations were new for me, as usually the toys I’ve tried use raised silicone for that added texture, but… I was a bit distracted by Zeep’s big smile looking up at me.

Lots of rave about its use for couples

In the instructional video for Zeep on the website, Cute Little Fuckers founder Step mentioned that many toys are difficult to use during partnered sex because they are too big or awkward to fit in between multiple bodies comfortably. Because it is small and handheld, Zeep could be a solution for this.

My girlfriend found the bug shape creepy though, so I only used it for solo play.

International shipping can be a headache

Like many products shipped from outside the European Union, Zeep had a tricky time finding its way from North America to my home in Berlin, Germany. The first package didn’t arrive and the second required that I pay an extra customs fee when picking up the parcel.

Cute Little Fuckers was highly responsive, and the problem isn’t unique to them at all, but it’s unfortunately very likely that you’ll run into similar issues if you need Zeep to be shipped internationally.

To avoid this hassle, I’d recommend finding a local store near you that might sell Cute Little Fuckers products. In Europe, many queer-owned sex shops, like Tailbone in Rotterdam or Other Nature in Berlin, have Zeep available online.

Overall: I don’t think I’m creative enough for Zeep, but you might be!

On the Cute Little Fuckers website, Zeep retails for a cheeky $69 USD—which includes the toy and a 1-year warranty. For those who can’t afford this price, Cute Little Fuckers has a “pay-it-forward” program to make their toys more accessible.

Honestly, while I love supporting a business that’s trans-owned and focused on inclusive design, I don’t think I’d purchase Zeep myself. It’s more buzzy than I prefer and it was difficult for me to work with the unique shape and find sensations I enjoyed.

That said, many of the verified reviews had the opposite experience. For instance, one reviewer said, “Zeep is so malleable and is able to tuck in and caress really fun and new areas!”

Maybe I just wasn’t creative enough.
