When Frenchie offered to send their “bendable vibrator,” The Double Entendre, in exchange for an honest review, I was intrigued.

I’ve owned other sex toys made with soft silicone that offered some flexibility, but none that ultimately held the shape I had curved them into. I wasn’t sure what to expect, especially as The Double Entendre is the brand’s only sex toy.

In my Double Entendre review, I share how this type of “all-in-one” product (literally) fits well into my sex life.

Bendable vibrator The Double Entendre review

Outside, The Double Entendre is made from 100% medical-grade, soft silicone. Inside, there are two motors (one in each head) and a rechargeable battery that lasts for about two hours on the lowest setting.

When straightened, the bendable vibe measures 19 cm. It weighs 128 grams (a little more than a large bar of soap), but most of the weight skews towards the wider head. The larger head is slightly over 4 cm in width, and the smaller is closer to 3 cm.

It comes in two colors (blue and pink) and includes a satin carrying pouch.

Dual motors provide so, so much buzzing

I noticed right away about The Double Entendre that the motor is definitely more buzzy than average.

As someone who strongly prefers sex toys with a rumbly vibration, even the first setting of The Double Entendre made me nervous. However, if buzzy is your thing, you’ll probably love it.

The vibe has ten modes—four speeds and six vibration patterns—and it’s operated using a single button. This is great for ease of use but a little disappointing as you can’t operate the motors individually.

If you are seeking a sex toy with two motors you can control individually, you may be interested in the Hot Octopuss Kurve vibrator or the Plex vibrating butt plug.  Both are equipped with the brand’s patented dual motor technology.

The bending is brilliant

Most notably, The Double Entendre is entirely malleable. The description states that “the device bends in the middle so you can get both internal and external stimulation at the same time”—but in reality, it molds to fit whatever pleasure you seek.

When my Double Entendre bendable vibrator arrived, it made slight creaking noises and felt a bit tough to bend at first. This is likely due to the materials used and, fortunately, went away the more I used it.

Finally found a toy that I can use while standing

I’ve previously found it challenging to integrate sex toys into standing positions—whether with my partner or by myself. In the shower, for example, I’ve never quite figured out how to comfortably hunch my body, keep control of the toy, and pleasure myself simultaneously.

The Double Entendre turned out to be great for trying out new standing positions without straining my wrist. Plus, the device is waterproof (though French recommends “not fully submerging”), so I could finally use a toy in the shower.

However, I’ll note that the device isn’t long enough to provide deep penetration in these positions. But it works well if you’re more into external sensations or shallow penetration.

Because it can be bent, The Double Entendre also mimics many popular sex toy shapes.

Fully straightened, it can be inserted like a dildo or laid across the vulva like a pebble vibrator. You can curve the tip for more clitoral stimulation. Bend it into a horseshoe to experience both internal and external sensations.

In the provided pleasure guide, Frenchie mentions that the curved part of the head should face the front part of your body as it’s designed to stimulate the g spot, which I found to be true. I didn’t try it with a penis, but maybe it can wrap around one like a ring or small sleeve.

There are probably more possibilities depending on how creative you are.

Not a replacement for a double-ended dildo

The Double Entendre also worked well for partnered sex in my queer relationship. The flexibility helped it fit easily between our bodies and never get in the way. Or, if it did get in the way, we would just bend it in another direction without disrupting any ongoing stimulation.

When I first saw that there were two heads on this bendable vibe, I thought it could potentially function as a double-ended dildo. Unfortunately, the device isn’t quite long enough, even when fully straightened out.

That said, we found that as long as one partner is ok with very shallow penetration, it can still be fun to try out.

Overview: Multi-functional pleasure for great value

On the Frenchie website, The Double Entendre retails for $80 AUD (or €62,95 EUR). The cost includes a 1-year warranty starting from the date of purchase.

Frenchie delivers worldwide, but because the company is based in Australia, you may be required to pay a customs fee depending on where you’re having it shipped.

Overall, I’d say The Double Entendre is very worth it for the price.

Because of the variety of shapes and sensations it provides, The Double Entendre is also a great bendable vibrator to consider if you’re still trying to figure out what you find pleasurable and only want to invest in one product. If you already know what you like, though, then consider going for a toy specifically designed for that instead.
